Introduction to Retail Banking and Wealth Management (RBWM) Retail Banking and Wealth Management is designed to give our customers recognition and benefits and it is all about providing services to people and meeting their needs by connecting them to opportunities and helping them to fulfil their hopes and realize their ambitions. Role Purpose: The role holder has a responsibility to acquire, advise, and retain a portfolio of Premier clients. Major focus is on holistic wealth management sales via non-branch channels such as telephone, emails, and face to face meetings, etc. to ensure achievement of the business performance measures and plan. The role entails an active management of a portfolio of Premier clients, acquiring new HSBC clients and upgrading existing clients through becoming the trusted advisor to them. It will also entail regularly updating and analyzing client financial information to identify wealth solutions that best meet the client’s needs, advising the client on a variety of potential wealth solutions, and embedding client loyalty by meeting their needs either directly or through other internal business partners. Job Responsibility: Impact on the Business · Maximize profit and achievement of the growth of Premier clients portfolio. · Develop existing and new relationships. · Build effective relationships with clients to retain and develop sustainable relationships. · Contribute to the overall performance and profitability of the Premier business in line with Global Premier AOP (annual operating plan), Premier Wealth sales targets, and Insurance & Investment penetration targets · Monitor and act on daily information, using it to coach the wider Branch team in support of business goals. Customers / Stakeholders · Conduct financial reviews utilizing Wealth Management tools & Premier Individual Review to identify customer needs and deliver a customized solution to meet those needs · Maintain a deep understanding and technical knowledge of relevant products and services available from Group sources and elsewhere in order to provide the best solutions for clients and maximize revenues for Global Wealth and the Group. · Maintain highest standard of excellence in client service across the team and with individual portfolio - Ongoing analysis of client portfolios through marketing of ideas and researching clients. · Monitor client satisfaction data implementing portfolio level improvements. Leadership & Teamwork · Work with other Premier Relationship Managers to ensure a consistent approach and application of the Global Premier proposition and provision of Wealth Management solutions to Premier customers · Set an example to colleagues in terms of delivering sound, appropriate Wealth solutions and customer service excellence · Take full responsibility for own personal development · Contribute to the success of the Premier sales team result Operational Effectiveness & Control · Support RBWM in the continuous improvement of the bank’s sales processes and service standards. Maintain and observe HSBC internal control standards, ensuring that business risks are managed and operational procedures comply with Group and local regulatory standards and guidelines Skills · University graduate with at least 2 yrs of sales & service experience in financial services industry · Financial Services / Wealth sales experience using non-branch channels (e.g. phone, email, face to face meetings, etc.) · Strong financial services knowledge and experience building relationships with high net worth individuals · Professional financial qualificiation preferred (i.e., CEFA or equivalent qualification) · Experience developing a sales strategy and a proven track record in achieving sales targets · Familiarity with financial markets, good knowledge of wealth management products including insurance & investments · Experience developing customized Wealth solutions for clients · Understanding of HSBC Group, including cross business awareness is a plus · Strong selling and presentation skills regarding Wealth / Insurance & Investment solutions · Excellent interpersonal skills, including influencing and relationship building over the phone · Excellent planning and organizational skills · Excellent analytical and problem solving skills · Accuracy - ability to get it right the first time · Fluent in English · Actively grow Premier customer portfolios and achieve Insurance & Investment business targets via non-branch channels · Possess relevant insurance & investment sales experience to offer a one-stop shop in fulfilling Premier customers’ Wealth needs via different channels; and · Make extensive use of HSBC’s CRMS information and activity management tools to ensure effective delivery of the Premier Wealth solutions.
