Job Description
This position is within Human Resources Department and reports to the Senior Human Resources Manager – Occupational Health and Safety. Key Accountabilities •Undertake word processing duties, including formatting letters, memos and reports prepared by the department to an acceptable standard of accuracy and timeliness. •Compile and type reports and information from variety of sources, and distribute as required. •Establish, maintain and update a divisional filing system which ensures that documentation is easily accessible. •Maintains office supply inventory, orders supplies, monitors and processes payments. •Maintains Personal Protective Equipment stock, orders supplies when required •Issue first aid materials to around 100 appointed first aiders in all EKFC premises, maintains inventory, and orders when needed •Respond to, on behalf of the department staff correspondence, queries and enquiries within established guidelines. •Arrange on request, appointments, visits and travel arrangements for the Departmental Staff. •Support department staff in typing assignments, memos, transcripts of minutes and reports. •Producing & editing Safety informative articles from the ideas / information provided by departmental staff and manager. •Preparing duty roster and scheduling Safety training calendar, Tool box talk, First aid practical exercise accordingly •Generating maintenance work order, and regular follow up if required •Coordinating with departments on scheduling monthly safety meetings, providing Safety department with up-to-date information of these meetings. •Maintain a strong follow up on pending matters and coordinate with the concerned people in order to get the matters accomplished as desired. •Issue the red tag permit for the fire equipment impairment and notify the FM Global and fire department. •Coordinate with fire equipment maintenance contractor and schedule their activity as per the scope of work. •Preparing on a monthly basis list of employees to be appointed as Fire Wardens and First Aiders from the recommendation made by the departments, forwarding the list to HR Services for updating the payroll data with respect to payment of Fire Warden and First Aiders benefits to those employees whose name is on the list. •Support department in maintenance and update of company manuals and procedures. •Apply the OHS Policy and SMS established in accordance with OHSAS 18001:2007 international standards and execute all responsibilities according to the department work procedures while reflecting EKFC Safety Policy. Requirements and Competencies Qualifications: •Graduate or equivalent qualification. •Proficient in Microsoft Office packages. •Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. •Strong attention to detail. •Excellent organisational and office administration skills. •Ability to carry out assigned tasks and projects to completion with minimal supervision. •The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and achieve results. •Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to multi – task and manage time effectively. In July 2007, the Company inaugurated its technologically advanced catering facility dedicated to servicing the flights of Emirates airline. The facility, with a built-up area of over 56,000 square metres and the capacity to produce over 115,000 meals per day, is the largest of its kind in the world in terms of volume throughput. It features high levels of automation including a 2.55km long electric monorail system for the transportation of meal carts, a bin conveyor system to transfer clean items from the Warewash area to the Production and Operations Departments, and a vacuum waste system with pipes over 600m in length.
The existing facility was originally commissioned in 1982 and has been continually updated and upgraded since then. The Company also caters to other airlines operating at Dubai International Airport. In total, the Company services over 110 regular airline clients.
